Brilliant! Its time for another Anti-Flag album! Seems like it was only a few months ago when their last album was released. Anti-Flag is a punk band from the US that have become quite popular in the “overground” punk scene. This album sounds a lot different to their other albums. There are more chants and hymns and on some tracks less anger and more angst. Its always hard to judge an album when you’ve only listened to it once. If you’ve enjoyed songs by Anti-Flag previously you should definitely download this release. Enjoy and support this artist if you like the album!
The Bright Lights of America is the eighth studio album released by Anti-Flag. It is scheduled to be released on April 1, 2008 according to an announcement posted on the band’s main page. The first song released from the album was “Good ‘N’ Ready”, featured on Fat Wreck Chords Hanuk-Comp From the Dreidel to the Grave compilation. The song “The Bright Lights of America” is available on their MySpace. In a recent interview Justin Sane told the interviewer the album was to be released mid March. In the same interview he explained this album was going to be different from the last including new styles and elements like using orchestra instruments and child choirs.
